There is abbot of an issue with lock up at certain an angles. I decided that was going to take too long so I reassembled the knife in preparation of returning it.
I practice using my knifes from different pockets and different angels depending on if this might be a primary or secondary defense item. Thing is, when I put it back together, I accidentally tightened the blade pivot just a little more than factory and that ended up providing just enough drag to keep the blade from bouncing off the blade stop.
I've fired it a couple hundred times since then and had solid lock up every time. Just received mine a couple days ago, about to send it back.
So you could send it back and spend more money or you could tighten the pivot ever so slightly with a t6 torx. I love the looks of the Launch series and the price point, as well as the choice of steel.
The first number from the left indicates the type of material used to make the handle.
